언해필사본 《텬쥬실의》〈목록〉 분석
언해필사본《 텬쥬실의》는 상권에 비해 하권의 항목이 많으며 또한 그중에서도 항목수 가 여느 편목에 비해 상대적으로 적게는 1.5배 많게는 3.5배 가까이 설정되어 있는 부분이 있음을 헤아릴 수가 있다. 그리고 언해필사본 《텬쥬실의》 항목 설정의 구조는 중사(中 士, 중국 선비)의 질문 중심, 서사(西士, 서양 선비)의 답변 중심 그리고 서사(西士)의 답변 및 중사(中士)의 질문 종합 등 3개의 유형으로 파악된다. 이는 항목이 어느 한쪽의 발언에 치중되어 설정된 게 아님을 의미한다고 하겠다. 말하자면 서사(西士)의 답변 만에 치중해 서 항목명을 취한 게 아니고 중사(中士)의 질문 내용도 참작했다는 점이 평가되어야 한다 는 것이다. 곧 논지(論旨)의 핵심을 제시하고자 함에 항목 설정의 근본 취지가 있었기에 그러하였다고 여겨진다. 주석목록본의 〈목록〉과 언문필사본의 〈목록〉이 이같이 차이가 나는 게 있음에도 대 부분이 동일하므로, 주석목록본의 내용을 단지 언문으로 번역한 게 언문필사본일 것 같다 . 하지만, 결코 그렇지가 않다. 즉 언해필사본 《텬쥬실의》가 《천주실의》 주석목록본 을 번역하는 데에 그친 게 아니라 이를 읽는 독자들에게 편의를 제공하기 위해 상세한 주 석을 덧붙이고 있는 것이다. 이 점이 바로 언해필사본 《텬쥬실의》의 특징이다. 그러므 로 이에 따라서 언해필사본 《텬쥬실의》 〈목록〉 부분 역시 그런 것이라 판단된다고 하 겠다.
Analysis of ‘Catalog’ in Korean Manuscript ‟Cheonju-Silui”
Korean Manuscript(諺解筆寫本) “Cheonju-Silui”(《텬쥬실의》, Tianzhu Shiyi, True Meaning of the Lord of Heaven) has more articles in the second volume compared to the first one and the study found that the second one has 1.5 times more articles at the least and 3.5 times at the most relatively compared to any other catalogsArticles of Korean Manuscript “Cheonju-Silui” was found to consist of three parts; concentrated questions of ‘the Chinese scholars(中士)’, concentrated answers of ‘the Western scholars(西士)’ and summary of them. This tells us thatarticles were not focused on any particular party's remarks. In other words, we have to appreciate thatKorean Manuscript “Cheonju-Silui” did not put emphasis merely on answers of the Western scholars, taking questions of the Chinese scholars into consideration. It might be done so in an effort to have the fundamental purpose of setting articles to suggest the focal point. Despite some differences between ‘Catalog’ of Annotated Catalog Version(註釋目錄本) and ‘Catalog’ of Korean Manuscript, they are mostly identical and thus at a glance Korean Manuscript seems to be the just translation of the content of Annotated Catalog Version. That's not true, however, because Korean Manuscript “Cheonju-Silui ” added detailed annotations to offer convenience to readers, beyond translation of Annotated Catalog Version into Korean, which is characteristic ofKorean Manuscript “ Cheonju-Silui”. Therefore, ‘Catalog’ in Korean Manuscript “Cheonju-Silui”may be considered as applicable as such.
